![]() It’s weird saying that as I used to be a bit DAW-avoidant. I could see how having that integrated into a DAW with a timeline that enforces structure would encourage me to finish stuff. M4L is particularly interesting to me, because I’ve tried to make stuff in in PD & SuperCollider alone and it’s been really fun, but I tend to end up with half-finished sketches of things. Between November 14 and November 30, 2023, a 20 discount is also available on Push 3 (standalone). ![]() Long story short: I’ve been a bit Ableton-curious lately, even before the version 12 announcement. The 20 discount offer is valid for all Live 11 licenses and upgrades (including upgrades from educational licenses), Live 12 pre-orders, Packs and cross-grades to Max 8 purchased during the campaign. As a fan of Pd, Max for Live is very attractive to me too. I checked out Lite (I only have version 10) and the things that bug me about Bitwig aren’t present in Live. I mostly use Renoise, and I have Bitwig for multitrack recording, but I don’t really gel with it, so I stopped buying updates. I’ve had a couple versions of Lite, the kind you get when you buy a MIDI controller, audio interface, or whatever, but I’ve never been a real Ableton user.
